We are expecting Leo's first litter!

Oh yes we do :-) But plans are often changed by the cats.
We had plans with Leo and Tia, our black girl. But Tia is on holiday.... all she does is eat, play, couddle and sleep. We were so sure she had something going on in the hotell room in Drammen, but she change her mind with her calling-plans.
Oh well, she blendet so easy in to our catgroup, so she will be mated when she decide her lazy holiday is over.

Then we had some funny weeks. Misty was calling, but not for very long.
Then Nikita started to call, my worst nightmare was true :D  She got such strong and high voice when she talks daily, and when she started to call we were sure our ears would soon explode.
Nikita called 1 week, then another week ...... then Mercy started.... and Nikita called and called.
I did not see any other option than bringing Leo home to her.
So Leo mated her servreal of times in her round 3 of her calling-weeks.
And finally it was silent - thank goodness!! We were also worried about an uterus infection, so that was the reason we mated here now.

After 3 weeks with calling Nikita was very skinny. But that changed in the next week. Now she had time to eat again.
We knew Nikita was pregnant 2 weeks after the mating, the signs were so clear.

Her and Mistys 3 babies are now  4 month old, but since we were so unlucky with our two litters this time , with 2 mothers , 1 baby nursing and 2 babies were bottle fed - Nikitas body is not directly exhausted.

I am very corious about this litter. We might have a small litter, since the mating happend very late, or we can have a big litter. Time will tell.
I am just hoping for some more girls - in black or chocolate with pattern.  If my wish come true, we will probably not keep the fawnspotted girl in this litter. Anyway we have a home for her.

Misty and Ainurs beautiful boy will for sure stay in our breeding programme. Red and white - is like music in my ears , maybe some little torties and calicos in the future.

Around the same time Matheo and Naomi arrived from US and Finland - also "Fantasy" came home again to us.
We had found a great hosthome  for her, but Fantasy did not agree about that. Fantasy loved the dog, her two new cat-friends and her new 2 legged mommies , but something was not right.
We never found the reason for it. Sometimes it would be nice if they could talk!
So she came home again to us. After some few grumpy days, she was back to be our always purring and happy girl.
She loves dogs, has a special bound with them, just like her brother Seven Sins.
So when she met King and Cookie again, she was thrilled.

I will soon try to make some new pictures of her and also of Naomi. Her picture under " OSH females" is just temporary.

We have also made some new plans, and we will soon do some more PRA testing of our cats.

Picture taken by Naomis breeder - thank you Krista.

Flame has one more show to do this weekend, and then she will come by and say bye bye to us, before she leaves to California with Cherylee.
Then I have exited news to update my blog with.

October 21, 2015

CFA update , Naomi and Matheo .

Last weekend Carolynn and Flame went to Tallinn in Estonia , visiting a CFA show.
They had a wonderful time there with old friends and making new friends.
Flame's new mommy came all the way from sunny California.

During the weekend I suddenly got a message on my phone from Carolynn.
"Do you want me to bring home a chocolatespotted bico girl to you?"
I did not quite understand what I had read.
We had to talk, read pedigrees and I had to think. I had absolutly not planned a new girl just in few days. And the dessision had to be made right away.
So the girl came with them on the flight back to Oslo.
Very late that  night Carolynn and Flame's new mommy, Cherylee arrived outside my house.

I was so happy to meet the two new cats.

Naomi's Sundayname : Deraza Adorable Button Box.
She is very big for her age, she is very elegant, beautiful profile, green eyes - super qualitees we need for our future breeding programme. And one more important thing ,her pedigree is unrelated from what we got.

We are getting to know her now, and she us and my other furry girls.
Naomi is running freely in the house, but has toilet, water and food upstairs in my mating-room with the door open.
It is nice to have a room she can relax in and feel safe also from the dogs she has to get to know.  But they don't run upstairs anyway.

Tia and Mercy think it is very fun and interesting with a new girl in the group  and make sure that she always has company - either Naomi likes it or not :D
I am sure they will be good friends very soon.
Naomi is very outgoing and sweet.

Thank you so much Krista for Naomi.
Finally we have a girl in one of my favorite colours in my home again.
We are so greatful and looking forward for the cooperation .
We are not 100% sure yet, but maybe we will mate her with a beautiful chocolatespotted OSH , all American next year.

And then it is our new little silver boy, Yes, you did read right, a s-i-l-v-e-r !!
Silver is beautiful, but not a part of my breeding programme.
Matheo , or San Toi's Aquarius , his real name - Carolynn and her daughter saw him first time when he was a little baby, while they were visiting Matheo's breeders this Summer.
In the start Carolynn's daughter had big problems just to look at him, because he remindet so much about a little boy we got to learn to love and loose shortly after.
Can you see who Matheo is very much alike?

Matheo is very much alike Ainurs brother, Gandalf, who passed away shortly after he came to Norway.

When Matheo was offered to me( Carolynn), I was really not sure.  Gandalf was my little lovebug, I loved every inches of him and his type, but was it so smart to have a little copy of him?
I did not have to decidet it there and then.
Matheo was growing bigger and was getting more and more beautiful.

It endet with me saying yes to have him, and after he arrived I have never regret.
Silver is still not a big plan for our breeding programme, but we will see what happens.
Matheo is choosen by heart.
He is so so American, a beautiful CFA standard.
He is very elegant. The only one I can compear him too, is our earlier girl Fayette. Not a gram fat, just elegance. He is loooong from tailtip to nosetip, beautiful long head, beautiful profile, amazing eyes. I haven't find anything I don't love about him yet ;-)

Matheo is a youngsterboy, and is living in my bedroom for a while. He will soon get very interested in girls, so we don't take any chances before we are ready as well.
Later he will be mated with Mercy and Tia.
After that our plan is to chip him with the Suprelorin,, so we can have a temporary neuter boy to couddle with amoung our girls.

So thank you again so much Dee and Connie - San Toi's  for another beauty, and thanks to Cherylee for bringing him safe home to us.

With those two new cats and what we allready got, I am very exited about future breeding plans.
I love some extreme oriental cats, but most of them don't have the elegance and for sure not the right triangles shape of the head.
The goal of making my dreamcat is feeling much closer now.
To make a cat preferly chocolate spotted or as a tortie. With superelegance and a head mixed of the best between European and American. Shame to give up, one day it will happen :-))

Much better pictures will be made of them later.

Our little babies.

Finally it was nice enough weather tryin' to make some new pictures of our 3 babies.
But noone of them were so very cooperative today ;-)

They are around 3 month old now, and the smallest girl has finally started to gain weight more normally. She is so picky when it comes to food. But a little better day by day now. Some kittens are like that. We had "Fantasy" in Misty's earlier litter as well, milkbar was best.
And for those who remember Nikita's mommy, Diva. When she was a baby, oh my , solid food tasted terrible for many weeks. So I guess Dreamcather is a little like her grandma.

Since their rough start of life, noone of the babies will leave us for a long time. And since they are just 3 sweethearts  they are almost not noticable ;-)

Daydreamer is one day dark fawn, the other day she is lilac. But soon we will have  visit of a breeder who breed those colours, so soon I hopefully know.
Daydreamer is not much related to Mercy, but she is so similar to her in personality. I bet Mercy is a bit blonder, but both are so cool and laidback. And Daydreamer loves the dogs, even our naughty puppy. With King it is different - he is always calm inside.

Misty's little boy is not that little anylonger. He needet his time, but has grown and developed alot.
He is still very very happy - our sunshine-boy.
Kichiro has always had daddy's face and ears, but now that he is growing, we can see he will get Ainurs bodytype as well. So he will turn in to a big and super-elegant boy in time.

We enjoy every minutes with them all.

Dreamcather - Nikita and Ainurs little girl :

Daydreamer - Nikita and Ainurs bigger girl :

Kichiro  - Misty and Ainurs boy :

And some various pictures :-)
They are a happy family, sharing milkbars and got 2 mommies.

"Ozzies" daughters and CFA shows.

"Flame."

A bit earlier this Fall, (N) Attack's Flame of Love came back to us.
It was a great pleasure to see her again.
She started to call, so we brough up Leo to her.
As the stubborn tortie she is, she  decidet not to call anymore.
So Leo and Flame spendt a short week together just to kiss and couddle ;-)

Sadly she did not adjust in our cat group again. The main problem was the dogs.
King and Cookie are just the sweetest together with the cats, but Flame did not agree on that point.
So then Flame moved temporary to Carolynn and the boys, and is very happy.
We have found the next best soloution for Flame, so in about a month she will move to a very good home.

In the next month Flame and Carolynn will enter som CFA shows together with Flames new mommy.
We are very exited about the shows, and crossing fingers for them.
First stop will be Tallinn in Estonia next weekend!
Good luck, ladies :D

"Tia."

A couple of weeks ago we brought home Ozzie's other daughter , (N) Attack's Highway Star - Flames halfsister.
She is living in a host home, and is now on visit to be used in our breeding program.
Tia is living with 2 little dogs herself, so comming home to us for a while was not any problem.
She needet a short week, and she is now friends with all the cats and our dogs.
Tia is a big and elegant girl. She got some facts and stubborness from her mother, and alot of easy happiness from her father.
Tia is also halfsister to Nikita, and it was strange, almost like she felt it - those two became friends right away. But those who have met Nikita ...... Nikita is a Alfa female, but in her world there is no drama , no need to hiss or make problems.  And  Mercy , she is a blond junior - I love blonds oriental cats, they are just lovely sweethearts 24/7.

I will soon make some new pics of our little kittens, and in start of November we have a big surprice ;.)

We will continue to enjoy our darling-furry family.
Have a great weekend.

Our smallest sweethearts.

It has been a long time since I have done any updates about our 3 smallest treasures.
They have so much to catch up, but are doing very well.

Ainur and Misty's little boy is getting more and more beautiful every day. Pictures can not justify his development.
He looks like a pure white kitten , but he is redtabby and white. How much white is still a mysterica.
Kichiro is looking like a wannabe-peterbald. His fur is supershort! And he is so long and elegant. And he still got daddy's elf ears , that makes him extra beautiful  - our personal taste.

Various pictures and ages compearing with daddy to the left :

About 9 weeks old :

And his two halfsisters - after Ainur and Nikita. They are 7.5 weeks old on the pictures.

Biggest girl, Daydreamer is a good mix between her parents. She is very calm and cool, but with two very talkactive parents - I do not think the silence will  last forever.

I am sure those two will be best buddies in time :

And the smallest girl, still very small, but she is such a sweetheart. I love her development as well, so the next weeks will be interesting.
Dreamcather :

And some varoius pictures.

Alot will happen in October - we are very exited ;-)

September 12, 2015

So proud of.....

Last Spring  , actually April 15th - 2014 we got a very colourful litter of 5.
3 boys and 2 girls.  The girls were very special from the very first moment.
One of the girls was like a tiny little baby-bird when she was born. Her weight was only a bit over 60gram. My kittens  has normally a birth weight around 80 -110 gram. Some are even bigger. The biggest baby ever born in our Cattery was almost 130 gram.
To get more frustrated, the little mini-baby refused to get bottle fed , little stubborn tortie.

But stubborn was good! She had lots to growing to do, and was smaller than her siblings for many weeks.
But she did gain between 10 and 15 gram daily after a while.  She did grew up to a very healthy, happy and colourful sunshine girl, together with her sister.

We had lots of request on the sisters, but we were not sure if we wanted to sell any of the girls.
In Fife` noone of the girls was any showgirls, since most of the jugdes prefer extreme cats.
But in our breedingprogram the pedigrees and lots of other qualities comes before a set of big lowplaced ears. But don't misunderstand me, I love extreme Fife`cats as long as they also got a beautiful face with a pair of beautiful eyes.

A kittenbyer came all the way from USA to Norway to pick up another cat with us, and she asked us in the sweetest way.... if we ever should change our mind, was there any chance of having one of the colourful sisters?

Hmm?? We had to make alot of thinking, and we explained over and over again, noone of the girls are wow-types here in Fife`.

The sweet lady went home with her cat to California, and we continued thinking.
We decidet to sell the girl who was smallest by birth , (N) Attack's Cupid's Coctail.
The sisters got everything, just not the big and lowplaced ears, and a bit round eyes.

"Coctail" went later to USA, together with Carolynn, and suddenly it was decidet that Coctail was going to be brought on CFA shows.
Oh dear! I did not know what to belive. I just hoped the kitty behaved well, showed her good temper and that she and the owner would have a great time.

I have wrote about all this a long time ago in my blog,
So to make the story short , Coctail made it VERY WELL in her show season.

In just some very few shows in US a one in Germany ......

Southwest regional awards :
10th best cat.

And in total - in the world :
2nd Best Oriental Shorthair.

That is huge! The competion in CFA is together with lots of different cat breeds, and lots of different rings -  totally different to Fife`where they are only compeete with their own breed/category. So winning anything is not easy at all.

So this Summer the proud  owner could pick up her awards, and they had also made a copy to us!

We wish Coctail and her new mommy all the best for the future, she knows that ;-)

Our little babies and some news about the girls

It has been a while since I have made any updates about our babies, but alot has happened since.

Misty gave birth to 5 babies, and lost 4 of them during the next 24 hours.
A remaining strong babyboy was left. He grew normally his first week.

Then Nikita got her 5 babies during 2 days.
I was so happy about them, especially for the two firstborn girls. A cinnamonspottet bico and a chocolatespottet bico girl.
But all the sadness was not over - it was just the beginning.
Day 3 after birth Nikita gave birth to a 185g big dead kitten! The kitten nr 6. It must have died someplace between day 1 and day 2, and was swollen up.
I found the baby on the bedroomfloor, a terrible moment it is hard to forget.
One thing is for sure, when Nikita will have another litter in future, we will defently have oxytocin shots in our home for her. Never a birth like this again with all that happend after.

I heard after it was just a miracle that Nikita did not get sick, even almost died because  the big dead baby was quite toxic.

Breeding is lots of ups and lots of downs, you never know from time to time, thankfully for that!
Because my nightmare was not over.
Misty had hardly enough milk this time, so she was not the best milkbar-helper in this case.
Because of the dead baby, Nikitas milkbar got toxic as well.
We did all we could to save the babies, but the two firstborn girls and their brother flew to heaven one by one.
It is just so sad and feels so unfair. They should have been 11 happy  babies running around us now.

Misty's boy did also drink from Nikita and did not gain anything on his own anymore.
So I feed day day and night and was  crossing fingers so hard.
One of Nikitas remaining babygirls needet also help, and one never needet any help at all.

But this week they started to eat solid food on their own. Earlier they were fed with a syringe, first only goatmilk, then also Hills AD when they was 3 weeks old.
I had tears in my eyes, I was so happy. All the struggle, and fighting against mother nature - and it seems we won this battle!

Now they are running around in our new kittenrun in the kitchen, using their litterboxes, eating and growing , and I can rest and use my energy only on couddling and kissing them.
I love them so much.

Nikitas girls are fawnspotted with white and lilacspottet with white.
Not my favorite colours, but I don't care. Both will probably stay in our breeding programme.

Misty's little boy is a redtabby SYS I think, can also be creme. He is of course also staying in our breeding programme.

We can not easily let any of these kitten go in a hurry after all we have been trough together all these terrible weeks.

Nikitas big girl : Attack's Daydreamer

Misty's boy , Attack's Kichiro :

Nikitas smaller babygirl together with her sister. She will be named Attack's Dreamcatcher - so these two girls are the dreamteam <3

We all love our new kittenrun from Animal-Nursery in Germany :

At the moment are Misty calling, so she is not with them until she is silent again. So afraid that Nikita will start too then.  So "auntie Mercy" is helping out with cosy company :

Cookie sees lots of temping food - she is a food-adictic puppy :D She did not like this plexi-run . Not puppy friendly at all!

Then we have some news about two oriental girls.

Mercy's sister, Secret Fantasy moved yesterday to Arendal.
There she will be having a forever home together with a new family, 2 new cats and 1 dog. She will be staying there as a host cat.
She loved her new mommy right away, so did our GSD boy King - he is very picky about who he likes, so listen to the animals :-)

We have also a "new lady" with us. (N) Attack's Flame of Love
Ozzie and Dinky's babygirl who was born here last year. You do remember the two colourful sisters?
She moved to Sweden. But they lost her best furry friend and she did not thrive after that.
Her 2.legged family was not ready for a new catfriend for her right now.
So she is back with us.
It takes some time to go back in to the catgroup, especially since there is two dogs here to now. So she has toilet, food and water upstairs in my bedroom. The door is open, so she can walk up and down when she wants :-)
She will be mated with Leo when she starts calling.
She has developed in to a amazing girl.
Her body is just muscles - just like her daddy. She is so elegant, and she got wonderful green eyes as well. And she got her mommy's voice and personality.

It will not be weekly updates about the babies this time.
You have read now about their hard first weeks.
I will have an operation in my left hand during next week, so my hand need some rest after.
But suddely I will be back with more updates again.
